Dear Participants to Diffraction 2010,

this is the forth circular of the Workshop DIFFRACTION 2010: International
Workshop on Diffraction in High-Energy Physics, to be held in Otranto
(Lecce, Italy), September 10-15, 2010, web site http://www.cs.infn.it/diff2010.

- Today is the last day for abstract submissions, so please hurry up
to submit your talk, if you haven't done it yet, since from tomorrow we 
will start organizing the scientific program with the help of conveners.

- A few points concerning the accommodation:

* The Workshop venue is the hotel "Baia dei Turchi" in Otranto 
(www.baiadeiturchi.it, e-mail: info@baiadeiturchi.it); each participant
must reserve the room himself within August 15; later reservations will be 
accepted only in case of room availability.

* In case you meet any problem in making the reservation, please contact
me or our Secretary, Rita Bertelli (e-mail: rita.bertelli@lnf.infn.it), and we 
will help you.

* All rooms are double, but can be also used as single. However, since the 
number of room is limited, we encourage, especially the younger participants, 
to share the room. In case someone wants to share a room, but does not have 
a room-mate to indicate at the moment of the reservation, the hotel will
anyhow accept the reservation; "pairings" in the rooms will be organized 
by us starting from August 15, according to some sensible criterion and 
after approval by the interested participants.

* We realized that a few participants decided to reserve a room in other 
hotels. This is rather inconvenient for many reasons: there is no public 
transportation to the Workshop hotel and we will not organize daily transfers
from other hotels; lunches and dinners in the Workshop hotel would not be 
included and should be paid separately. Part of the logistic problems would 
reflect also on us organizers, especially in relation with the social events 
and transfers from/to the airport. In addition to that, we believe that sharing
also the spare time in a common location, is part of the scientific activity
of a Workshop. For these reasons, we strongly recommend you not to take into 
consideration the possibility to reserve a room elsewhere. 

- As mentioned in the Web site, transfers from/to the airport of Brindisi
(or the nearby City Terminal of Lecce) and the hotel Baia dei Turchi
will be organized on Sept. 10 and on Sept. 15, while transfers in different 
dates should be organized by each participant privately. We ask you to send us
at your earliest convenience, but not later than August 31, the arrival time 
in the airport of Brindisi and the number of your flight.
