Dear Participants to Diffraction 2012,

this is the sixth circular of the Workshop DIFFRACTION 2012: International
Workshop on Diffraction in High-Energy Physics, to be held in Puerto del
Carmen, Lanzarote (Canary Islands, Spain), September 10-15, 2012, web site 
http://www.cs.infn.it/diff2012.

The programme of the Workshop is now available, at

It was prepared thanks to the fundamental contribution of conveners,
but the responsibility of the final layout is totally mine. It was not an 
easy task to put together 102 talks (a record for our Workshop) in four 
equivalent-days, satisfying all the constraints and avoiding parallel 
sessions. It turned out that sessions are very dense, there are only very 
few talks lasting more than 20 minutes and some lasting less.
The time allocated to a talk includes the discussion.

I kindly ask you to check the compatibility of the programme with your travel
plans and to post possile misprints. These are the only reasons for 
the modification of the programme. 

To make the programme run smoothly, it is essential that the files with all 
talks of a given session are on the conference laptop before that sessions 
starts. For this reason I ask each speaker to proceed in one of the following 
ways:

1. upload the talk on Indico before Sept. 10
2. send the talk to diff2012@cs.infn.it before Sept. 10
3. bring the talk at the Workshop on a flash drive and have it uploaded on 
   the conference laptop at least one session before the one in which it is 
   scheduled.

The strongly preferred file format is PDF. Powerpoint will be tolerated, but 
we assume no responsibility for possible problems such as font 
incompatibilities or so. In any case, it must be clear that all the time 
waisted by a speaker for the startup of his talk will be subtracted from the 
time allocated to that speaker. Chairpersons are invited to apply this rule 
strictly, as well as to make any effort to keep their session within the 
total allocated time. 

A few reminders:

- HOTEL

  In the remote case that you have not yet reserved your room at the
  hotel, please hurry up to do it, by filling in the form available at 
  www.cs.infn.it/diff2012/accommodation.html
  and sending it by fax or e-mail to the hotel management.

  The price quoted on the Web page is for "full board", i.e. it covers
  breakfasts, lunches and dinners (beverages included); a 5-night reservation,
  for instance, from Sept. 10 to Sept. 15 includes five breakfasts,
  five lunches and five dinners; it is up to each participant to choose
  if the reservation should include the lunch of the arrival day or the 
  lunch of the departure day; the second option is obvious for those of you 
  arriving in the afternoon of Sept. 10; it should always be pointed out 
  to the hotel staff at the check-in. The cost of an extra-lunch is 15 Euro.

- REGISTRATION FEE

  The fee now amounts to 300 Euro; it can be paid 

  * by bank transfer, following the indications given on the Workshop web 
    site; in this case the receipt of the payment must be presented at the 
    registration desk;

  * cash, on site at the registration desk; we stress again that it is not
    possible to pay by credit card.

- TRAVEL DETAILS

  The few of you who haven't done it yet should sent to diff2012@cs.infn.it 
  an e-mail with subject "travel", containing

  * arrival date/time
  * number and origin of the last flight to Lanzarote
  * departure date/time
  * number of accompanying persons

  The others are kindly asked to check the page

  and to report possible misprints on the travel plan or on the number
  of accompanying persons.
